As observed from the pictures found on the internet, the body is slightly larger than the head of Mashimaro, and it has small arms and legs.



But it is not easy to determine the dimensions for the head, it cannot be too small or big and i tried twice cutting out the correct one and glued it to see if it fits the body shape.

After that, i have similarly cut the same size to another paper to make it thicker and firmer.

Lastly, i made use of double sided tape to stick the cotton wool on one side and stick against my artpiece on the other side, to create a better white effect of Mashimaro on it.

Designing my mashimaro art piece

I decided on Mashimaro as the cartoon character that i will be doing for my first assignment.

Firstly, I took some time to browse through the shape and size of mashimaro on many websites, studying the different shape and sizes for each part of the body of the Mashimaro. I then decided the dimensions of its body before starting to draw on the drawing block.
